For the past 20 years Dixon Taylor has built custom homes in the Valdosta and Lowndes county area. Dixon started the company in 1996 soon after graduating with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. He really had no experience in construction but he “read a book about it” as he likes to jokingly say. In truth, Dixon did learn on the job, and with over 300 homes to his credit, he has certainly proven his worth. Dixon earned a reputation along the way for building high quality and architecturally creative homes, with attention to the special details that make his homes unique. He prides himself on forming lasting relationships with his subcontractors, many of whom he has worked with for over 15 years. “The partnerships I’ve developed with the guys through the years are the key to success. Without them I couldn’t do what I do and I’m thankful for them every day.”
Today, just as in 1996, Dixon continues to personally design each floor plan, as well as choose every design element that goes into his homes such as paint color, flooring, cabinetry, trim work, and exterior design. He also works closely with his clients throughout the building process to ensure their custom home is everything they dream for it to be, with as little stress and worry as possible. He loves being a part of creating beautiful homes and he understands that a new home is the most important investment a family ever makes. Dixon himself comes from a family of builders, his father Prentice and younger brother Blake are also local home builders. “Your home is where your future lies, making unforgettable memories with your family and friends, and I am humbled to be trusted with such a great responsibility.”
